What Are GP Sheets?
GP Coil / Sheets (Galvanized Plain Coil / Sheets) are cold-formed carbon steel coated with zinc on both sides using a continuous hot-dip galvanization process. This zinc layer provides excellent corrosion resistance and enhanced durability, making them suitable across various applications.
Available Grades & Conformity
These sheets adhere to IS 277:2018 standards and are available in multiple grades:
- GP250, GP350, GP550, and GP (general)—each denoting different zinc coating levels (in GSM) and performance characteristics
Thickness, Dimensions & Coating Details
- Thickness Range: From 0.25 mm to 3 mm, depending on the grade and customization.
- Standard Widths: Typically 900 mm to 1500 mm, with some options up to 1310 mm.
- Standard Lengths: From 2,500 mm to 12,000 mm, enabling flexibility for tailor-made requirements.
- Zinc Coating (GSM): Common options include 80, 120, 275 gsm, varying with sheet grade Higher-performance grades like GP550 have richer zinc layers.
- Spangle Options: Choose from regular, minimum, zero spangle, or varied surface finishes such as bright, dull, or matte.
